Born in Okayama, Japan.
Certified for Instructor by Urasenke in 2001.
Lived in Singapore between 2002 and 2007 and studied Chinese tea ceremony.
Certified Trainer by Liu Xiang Tea Craft, Singapore.
Certified Trainer by NPO Japanese Association of Chinese Tea Culture.
Miwa is one of the very few highly qualified tea culture trainers in the world today who can teach both Japanese and Chinese tea ceremony.
